Firm, Clients Take Center Stage at Small Business Resource Expo
On April 23, 2009, Mansfield Tanick & Cohen participated in the 2009 Small Business Resource Expo. The annual event, held this year at the Earle Brown Center in Brooklyn Center, is the paramount small business event for companies looking to launch or grow in the challenging economy and features a combination of exhibitors, education and networking opportunities.
MT&C and its clients played a large role in all aspects of this year's Expo including the following:
- The event was co-sponsored by the American Association of Microbusinesses ("AAM") and New Business Minnesota. MT&C attorney Jeffrey O'Brien serves on AAM's Board of Directors and New Business Minnesota is a client of the Firm.
- The Firm was a "Silver Partner" for the second consecutive year which included a booth devoted to its INCubation Center program for new businesses.
- Mr. O'Brien served as moderator for a panel discussion entitled "Show Me the Money: Gaining Access to Scarce Financial Resources." Appearing on the panel was Kevin Ryan, President of Turning Point 360, LLC, another MT&C client.
- Pamela Muldoon, President of another MT&C client, Next Stage Business, LLC, moderated a second panel discussion entitled "Give Me the Business: Effective Marketing in a Troubled Economy." Appearing on the panel was Bob Cummings, owner of Cummings Consulting Group, LLC, also an MT&C client.
Mansfield Tanick & Cohen is proud of its commitment to serving the needs of small businesses and this commitment was exemplified in the level of participation from the Firm and its clients in this year's Small Business Resource Expo. We look forward to continuing this commitment in the years to come.
