• Earl H. Cohen served on a panel of financial services professionals for the Financial Planning Association of Minnesota's annual Symposium for members and allied professionals on October 20, 2008. The program presented by the panel was entitled "Careers in Financial Planning for Students and New Planners." Cohen has previously presented similar programs to several organizations including the Minnesota CPA Society at its Annual Estate and Financial Planning Institute on how financial advisors can work effectively with allied professionals. Cohen, a member of the Financial Planning Association since 1974, has previously served as a director and currently serves as vice-chair of the program committee. He has served as speaker for the association's monthly meetings, most recently presenting a two hour presentation entitled "Top Tips for Estate and Wealth Transfer Planning in Minnesota" at the Association's April 15^th meeting.

• Earl Cohen and Jeffrey O'Brien presented a full-day, continuing-education seminar for Lorman Educational Services on October 28, 2008 entitled "Top Estate Planning Techniques in Minnesota." The multidisciplinary program is designed for attorneys, accountants and other financial service professionals and has been presented annually by Messrs. Cohen and O'Brien since 2006.

• On November 8, 2008, attorney Phillip J. Trobaugh served as a judge for the annual National Mock Trial Tournament at Macalester College in St. Paul.

• On November 13, 2008, the firm's INCubation Center® hosted its final INCubation Briefing for 2008 on the topic of "Employment Enigmas," which was co-presented by attorney Marshall H. Tanick and Patricia Wittstruck, president of The HR Department, LLC. • On December 11, 2008, attorney Jeffrey C. O'Brien will participate in a program at Greater Minnesota Credit Union regarding Minnesota's new independent contractor exemption certificate law for building contractors which takes effect January 1, 2009.

• On March 5, 2009, Phillip J. Trobaugh will present two programs for Sterling Educational Services, entitled "Employment Law Update" and "Privacy in the Workplace Issues."
