The attorneys at Mansfield Tanick & Cohen have always placed a strong emphasis on participation in and sponsorship of educational programming. In September, the firm will sponsor two important programs:

• On Tuesday, September 9, at 6:00 p.m., the INCubation Center® will hold its first INCubation Briefing in the Elk River area, entitled "Business is Personal: The Importance of Personal Financial, Estate and Succession Planning." For more information, click here.

ATTORNEYS FROM FIRM NAMED 'TOP' LAWYERS

Several attorneys from the law firm of Mansfield, Tanick & Cohen, P.A. were cited for honors by a recent survey of Minnesota attorneys.

The survey, which is published in Minnesota Law & Politics, Twin Cities Business, Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine and other magazines, is conducted annually. Marshall H. Tanick, a senior partner of the firm, was named one of the "Top 100" attorneys in Minnesota. Mr. Tanick has been regularly recognized in the "Top 100" category since the survey began in the early 2000s. Mr. Tanick also was named a "Super Lawyer" for his work in employment law. In addition to Mr. Tanick, others in the law firm named as "Super Lawyers" included senior partner Seymour J. Mansfield, employment law; senior partner Earl H. Cohen, probate and estate law; and partner Denise Y. Tataryn, health and disability benefits.

The firm congratulates these outstanding attorneys and the recognition by their peers.

SEYMOUR MANSFIELD TO BE HONORED AT 2009 LAW DAY DINNER

Mansfield Tanick & Cohen is pleased to announce that the Fund for the Legal Aid Society chose founding shareholder Seymour J. Mansfield as its 2009 honoree for the Annual Fund/Law Day Dinner on May 7, 2009.

Legal advocacy and social justice for the poor and disadvantaged has been Seymour's lifelong and deepest commitment. In being honored by the fund, Seymour joins past honorees have such as Alan Saeks, Bernie Becker, Laurie Davison, Roger Stageberg, Rosalie Wahl, Jerry Rotman, Walter Mondale, Doug Hall, Hy Edelman, among many others. Those honorees set very high standards-all extraordinary citizen lawyers who have truly made a difference and been role models for all of us.

In attendance and money raised, the fund dinner is the biggest Minnesota Bar event, with about 1,000 people attending and nearly $200,000 raised each year.

Seymour's colleagues at the Mansfield Tanick & Cohen wish to congratulate him on this high honor and we're proud to have the opportunity to work with him.
