- Attorney Jeffrey O'Brien has become President of the American Association of Microbusinesses (AAM) effective January 1, 2011. - Attorney Seymour Mansfield has been elected to the Board of Directors of U.S.-China Business Connections (UCBC). UCBC is an educational and networking forum for companies, individuals and institutions wishing to develop or promote business ties between the US and China. This is the second straight year in which an attorney from the Firm has served on the UCBC Board, as Jeffrey O'Brien was a member of the UCBC Board in 2010. - Seymour Mansfield and Brian Niemczyk presented an Executive Employment Law Forum again to senior executives on January 20, 2011, at the international outplacement firm of Lee Hecht Harrison in Bloomington, Minnesota. Seymour has presented this Forum to high level (many C-Suite) executives for over a decade. - Seymour Mansfield, a founder, director and executive committee member of The Fund for The Legal Aid Society and its 2008 Honoree, has been chosen to Chair the Funds Steering Committee for the Jeremy Lane Lawyer Fellowship, in honor of Mid-Minnesota Legal Assistance's retiring, outstanding Executive Director-which seeks to raise $600,000 to support lawyer fellows for six years to work in four different parts of MMLA. Jerry Lane, who succeeded Seymour as MMLA's chief officer will also be the Honoree at the next Annual Fund Dinner on May 5, 2011.
